Born in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, Mark Dennis began training at Canada’s National Ballet School in 2002. During his time at school, Mark was a recipient of the 2006 Canada Council for the Arts Peter Dwyer Scholarship and participated in the Prix de Lausanne quarter finals 2007. After graduating from grade 12 in 2006, Mark continued his studies in the National Ballet School’s Post Secondary Program until he joined the National Ballet of Canada as an apprentice in August 2008.
Since then Mark has gone on to be a member of Alberta Ballet in Calgary, The West Australian Ballet in Perth, Australia and Northern Ballet in Leeds, United Kingdom. Mark’s repertoire includes dancing Bluebird in Marcia Haydee’s production of “Sleeping Besuty,” Hortensio in Cranko’s “Taming of the Shrew,” as well as works by Balanchine, Kylian, Neumeier, Kudelka, Uwe Scholz and Petr Zuska to mention a few. Province; sharing his experience and artistic abilities with audiences in Kelowna and throughout British Columbia.
